Kio Kreations is an all-encompassing boutique event firm specializing in events and graphic design. Started by Kristen Janes in 2004, Kio Kreations has grown to include event planning, floral design, graphic design, balloon decor, product design and other creative services.

The “Kio” in Kio Kreations is actually Kristen’s nickname from high school. Read more about Kio on VoyageChicago.

Kristen Janes has a creative background in both art and floral design. She graduated from Northern Illinois University with a Bachelor’s of Fine Art in Illustration in 2004. She also holds a wedding planning certificate from Harper College and has been a generational florist for over 2 decades. After marrying her husband Matt, she left a corporate career as a product designer and became a full-time entrepreneur and small business owner. As Kristen’s business grew, so did her family. She welcomed three daughters in 2012, 2015 and 2017.

For over 19 years, Kio Kreations has been a part of over two-thousand events in and around the Chicagoland area (and even some events out of state as well!). While we no longer offer wedding services, we continue to offer event services (planning, decor, floral, balloons, etc.) as well as graphic design (logos, trend boards, digital renderings + packaging design). Kio continues to design 3-5 events a month throughout the year and maintains a loyal graphic design clientele.
