Vintage Garden Charm in Yellow, White and Gray at Patrick Haley Mansion
Kate and Steve's wedding was held at the beautiful Patrick Haley Mansion in Joliet. Their colors were navy, yellow, white and silver and the flowers had a vintage-garden feel. Flowers included garden roses, roses, spray roses, snapdragons, silver sage, dusty miller, celosia, stock, hydrangea, germinis, mini sunflowers, peonies, and billy balls. Kate's bouquet was a fluffy mix of peonies, roses, spray roses, and sweet pea in ivory, cream and champagne tones. The bridesmaids carried mismatched all-yellow bouquets with gray satin handles. The bouts and corsages included a mix of yellow and white flowers to coordinate with the bouquets. The ceremony was held in the garden of Patrick Haley Mansion and decorated with 6 hanging planters, 2 columns wrapped in foliage, and 10 little floral bundles in bubble vases were hung down the aisle. The reception was held in the mansion and atrium/ballroom. The escort card table featured arrangements in clay pots and 4 flats of wheat grass with flowers growing out of it. The card holder was one of our birdcages with a floral bundle on the top. The cake was decorated with flowers on the top and stepping down one side and was surrounded by petals. The head table was also decorated with petals as well as vases for the bouquets and silver mercury glass votives. The guest tables got a mixed centerpiece in silver mercury glass vase and 3 mercury glass votives. It was a beautiful wedding and everything fit perfectly in the space. I loved working with Kate to plan her wedding flowers! She was such a joy to work with--much like her sister Anne whose wedding we did a couple years ago! So glad the wedding was a total success and wish Kate and Steve a lifetime of marital bliss!
