Description

Andrea and Mark were married at St. James the Apostle in Glen Ellyn and had their reception at Arrowhead Golf Club. Their colors were gray and pink and all of the flowers were inspired by this magazine spread that Andrea found.

Andrea and Mark were fortunate enough to have family friends design all of their centerpieces, so I only had to do the personal flowers, bar decor and altarpieces.

For the Personal Flowers, I mimicked the look of the magazine spread inspiration but turned it into a bouquet with some additional elements. The bridal bouquet included dusty miller, silver sage, brunia, red ti leaf, bright pink hydrangea, hot pink callas, medium pink roses, and medium and light pink spray roses. The bridesmaids carried similar bouquets but without the silvery foliage and with burgundy callas added. The bouts and corsages contained roses and spray roses and I also made a floral headband for the flower girl to wear.

For the Ceremony, I designed 2 tall altarpieces inspired by one of the arrangements from the magazine ad. They had ti leaf, hydrangea, spray roses, callas, white branches with white dendrobium orchids, dusty miller, silver sage, and brunia in them. I later moved them to the escort card and appetizer buffet tables.

For the Reception, I also made 6 arrangements for the cocktail hour highboys and bars. They were in silver vases and contained similar flowers to the bouquets.

I also put vases for the bouquets on the head table along with pink rose petals and added an assortment of flowers to the cake.

I can also happily report that the family friends that designed the centerpieces and card holder decor did a great job! I actually would love if they wanted to come help me out in the future!

I loved working with Andrea and her fabulous magazine inspiration. We got to use so many fabulous textures and interesting flowers and foliage throughout!

So a big congrats to Mr. and Mrs. Raymond! All the best!
