Description

Jenell and Doug tied the knot at St. Francis Church in LaGrange and had their reception at Drury Lane in Oak Brook afterward. It was such an awesome wedding! Their colors were black, white and silver and flowers included peonies, amaryllis, roses, sweetheart roses, dusty miller, hydrangea, ranunculus, and awesome anemones.

For the Personal Flowers, I made a huge bouquet of textural white flowers for Jenell to carry. It included amaryllis, peonies, ranunculus, roses, and hydrangea. The handle was wrapped in fabric remnants from her dress alterations. The Bridesmaids carried bouquets of hydrangea, roses, sweetheart roses and anemones with silver satin handles. The Mother of the Bride carried a white floral tussie mussie and the rest of the corsages were made with roses, sweetheart roses and orchids. The Groom and Father bouts were made of ranunculus and the Groomsmen wore double sweetheart roses.

For the ceremony, we just did a Blessed Virgin Mary Offering and a memorial flower for the Mother of the Groom.

For the reception, Jenell and Doug had ice sculpture centerpieces that were up-lit. They looked AWESOME! We only had to provide vases for the bouquets with petals and bling, my signature floral-rimmed gift card holder and a manzanita tree for the escort card table. The floral-rimmed card holder was made of peonies, dusty miller, roses, and hydrangea. The manzanita tree was painted silver and had hanging votives, orchids and gems wired to it. The base was covered with white peonies, roses and hydrangea. It was a total show-stopper.

It was a pleasure working with Jenell and Doug’s wedding. Everything turned even better than I imagined. It was total perfection!
