Description
Erin and Phil were married outdoors in the gardens of Danada House and had their reception inside the house afterward. They totally lucked out with the weather–it was raining on and off all day and turned beautiful around 3 or 4 in the afternoon–a couple hours before the ceremony started!
Their colors were eggplant, burgundy/dark red, fuchsia/magenta with touches of ivory and green. Flowers included orchids, hydrangea, roses, peonies, stock, spray roses, Bells of Ireland, callas, and snapdragons.
For the Personal flowers–it was all about Erin’s gorgeous bouquet of Hearts Roses, Black Bacarra Roses, magenta and burgundy peonies, eggplant callas and fuchsia cymbidium orchids. We wrapped the handle in eggplant and added photo charms of Erin’s beloved Grandparents. It is one of my favorite bold bouquets to date and Erin loved-loved-loved it! The bridesmaids carried bouquets similar to Erin’s but smaller and dendro orchids instead of cymbidiums and they also had spray roses added in. The twin flower girls carried little floral wands and the corsages and bouts were made with callas, spray roses and orchids to match the bouquets. Everything was rich in color and texture and looked fabulous!
For their outdoor ceremony, we had a lot to do and luckily the weather cooperated! We started by hanging little floral bunches from every-other chair going down the aisle. We also hung a piece in the middle of the arch and flanked that with 2 garden-style urn altarpieces on pedestals. Erin made some beautiful silk dahlia pomanders that we hung from trees behind the ceremony site and we also added 2 floral pieces to the birch branches that frame the front entrance.
The altarpieces and chair decor were then moved inside after the ceremony and decorated tables in the cocktail area of the house.
Centerpieces for the reception in the Atrium included three styles: short, full mixed bouquet in square pewter vase; floral-rimmed cylinder vase with submerged orchid and floating candle; tall mixed arrangement with curly willow branches, hydrangea, Bells of Ireland, Spider mokara, dendrobiums, roses, etc. I love how they all popped off of the beautiful bold linens provided by my friends at The Chair Couture.
The cake was decorated with a mix of flowers and next to it sat vases for the bouquets.
My favorite DJ, Don of XL Entertainment provided the music for the evening and from what I heard–it was a great wedding from start to finish!
I loved working with Erin to make her beautiful Danada House wedding a reality.
I wish a HUGE congratulations to Erin & Phil!
