Description
Nicole and David had their ceremony and reception at the lovely Holiday Inn Mart Plaza in the heart of the city right on the Chicago River. The wedding was to die for, from the bridal party to the flowers to the view–it was fabulous!
Nicole’s bouquet was a massive mix of Stargazer lilies, purple hydrangea, fuchsia and Bom dendrobium orchids and raspberry and purple stock. David told me that Nicole literally said she LOVED her bouquet many times during the photos. That is great news for me! The bridesmaids bouquets were made of white and purple hydrangea, green cymbidium orchids, raspberry stock, and Bom dendrobium orchids. The bouts and corsages were made of orchids in green and fuchsia.
For the fabulous ceremony, I painted a monogrammed aisle runner which we lined with orchids and rose petals. The aisle also was lined with submerged orchids in cylinder vases with floating candles on top. The small stage had vases of sand surrounded with petals on a highboy table and then 2 fabulous altarpieces sitting my white museum columns. The altarpieces are among my favorites I have ever made! They are perfect for chic and modern city weddings!
The reception was in the same room as the ceremony–so we reused the aisle arrangements as centerpieces and added petals and votives to the head table and cupcake table. We also added petals to the highboy and cabaret tables for the cocktail hour. I also created Chicago-themed table numbers, escort cards and Candy Buffet signs for the event to go with the Windy City theme.
Everything was just awesome largely in part to the fabulous couple, the fabulous venue and the other fabulous vendors including my friends at The Chair Couture!
Congrats to Mr. and Mrs. Popp!
