Description
Dana and Matt were married at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Hinsdale and had their reception at the Doubletree hotel in Oak Brook. Their colors were yellow, black and white and flowers included callas, hydrangea, billy balls, spray roses and orchids.
For the personal flowers, Dana carried an all-yellow bouquet of mini callas and cymbidium orchids. I added some pearls into the bouquet and pearl detail to the handle as well. The bridesmaids carried bouquets of yellow and white mini callas with billy ball accents. The bouts were all mini callas with billy ball accents and the corsages were made with billy balls, orchids and spray roses.
For the ceremony, I designed 2 large altarpieces which we later reused at the reception on the escort card and gift tables. I also hung hydrangea from the pews and unity candle holder.
For the reception, we moved the altarpieces to the escort card and gift tables and put lemon cylinders on the highboy tables. We also made stemless wine glass arrangements with bear grass and a yellow cymbidium orchid inside for the other highboys and cabaret tables. They also rented my signature rectangle gift card holder with monogram and ribbons in their colors.
The cake was decorated with yellow cymbidium orchids and surrounded by candles and petals at the base. The head table had vases for bouquets, petals and votives flanking the edges. The guest tables were decorated with 2 styles of centerpieces–half of them got square vased arrangements with lemon slices inside and hydrangea, billy balls and orchids sticking out of the top. The other style was a trio of submerged cylinders including oncidium orchids, calypso mokara orchids and dendrobium orchids inside.
I really enjoyed working with Dana to plan her wedding flowers and decor! I wish her and Matt a lifetime of happiness.
Congrats to the new Mr. and Mrs. Huffman!
