Rustic Elegance at the Morton Arboretum | Purple and Green Flowers | Chicago Wedding Florist
Published on April 16th, 2013
We just completed a beautiful wedding that was beaming with "rustic elegance". The inspiration was Napa Valley vineyards...but the event was here in Chicago...in early April. Maybe the windy April weather was not the most ideal for a vineyard-inspired fete, but we made it work! It was one of the prettiest ones we've ever done! The ceremony was outside in the Hedge Garden at the Morton Arboretum and the reception was at the Sheraton in downtown Chicago. The bride provided some awesome items like a wine barrel to function as the cake table and grapewood branches for half of the centerpieces. They looked amazing! I loved the look so much I bough some slightly smaller versions (approx 18" size) of the grapewood branches to rent to future brides! We love what we do and what makes it even better is when our vendor friends do the same events as us! Our friends at A Posh Production did the lighting and photobooth for this wedding and our friends at The Chair Couture provided the beautiful linens! I love how everything looked rich in texture like an over-grown garden! That was exactly what we were going for--and I think the mix of foliage and flowers we used really nailed it! I am excited to do more looks like these for brides later this wedding season!!!
