Rhonda and Joel had a classy and fun wedding at a boutique hotel in the city equipped with a ton of DIY projects made by the very talented bride. I only had so make a few fresh floral items, including her massive (but stunning) bouquet and some corsages for the moms and other important women. I didn’t even have to make bridesmaids bouquets because they wore boas instead for carrying bouquets! Rhonda made feather bouts and feather centerpieces and all of her paper items as well! Like I said, her skills were used and then some at their beautiful wedding celebration!

How Long has it been since your wedding?
What is your best advice for brides-to-be?
Don’t sweat the small stuff. There is no such thing as a perfect wedding. There will be flaws/bumps, but I promise they most likely will not be obvious to anyone but you, so don’t let it get to you! Just enjoy every moment.
What is your best memory from your wedding?
Everyone telling us how much fun they had! To this day people tell us it was the most fun they’d had at a wedding ever, so that makes us happy. That was the goal!
How IS married life? Any Advice for surviving the first year?
Enjoy each other! Still go out on dates and do nice things for each other. The relationship dynamic really does change whether you lived together or not, but it’s a good change. You’ll be more sensitive for sure when you have an argument, but you’re more reassured that your partner is not going anywhere, so you can get through it more easily on that notion. And don’t fight over dumb things.
Do you have any NEWS you want to share (pets, jobs, moves, babies, homes)?
We’re hoping to get a new place in 2011, so there’s that! I also started my own business, BadAss Bridal Designs, creating custom wedding invitations, hand-bound guest books and wedding albums…all things paper and wedding! I’m working on making a proper website for it and only have a partial-blog, but it’s getting there!
