Raspberry and Lime Flowers at Venuti’s
Seana and Tim were married at First Congregational Church in Elmhurst and had their reception at Venuti's in Addison. Their colors were raspberry and lime green and flowers included hydrangea, orchids and callas. For the bridal bouquet, Seana carried a raspberry and green bouquet with white accents. It had a beautiful mix of hydrangea, callas, gardenias and orchids. The bridesmaids carried colorful bouquets of hydrangea, stock, orchids and callas with handles wrapped in ivory. The bouts and corsages all consisted of orchids with the exception of one, which was for the Grandmother of the Bride, it was a single Gardenia (her favorite). At the ceremony site which was a beautiful old church in Elmhurst, we simply put some green hydrangea on every other pew and put down an aisle runner. At the reception, we put out two centerpiece styles--a large bubble bowl with sculptural grass and callas and the a trio of cylinder vases with submerged callas and orchids. All of the centerpieces had 3 gold mercury glass votive holders around them to bring in the golds and champagne tones of the room. We also provided our signature monogrammed card holder vase for the gifts and put petals, votives and vases for the bouquets on the head tables. The cake was draped with green cymbidium orchids, mini cymbidium orchids and dendrobium orchids--it was awesome. We also did some submerged vases and petals on the escort card table and also reused the pew hydrangeas from the church in vases on the highboy tables for the cocktail hour. Yay for reusing things! I really enjoyed working with Seana! I wish her and Tim all the best! Congrats!
