Katie and Eric were married at Geneva Lutheran Church in downtown Geneva and celebrated their reception at Klein Creek Golf Club in Winfield. Their colors were black and white with purple and flowers included peonies, orchids, callas & hydrangea.
For the personal flowers, Katie wanted an all white bouquet of peonies with mini calla accents and raspberry-throated cymbidium orchids. The handle was wrapped in ivory with pearl detail and a gold keepsake locket was tied on as a memorial for Katie’s father. The bridesmaids carried bouquets of 8 white callas with handles wrapped in purple satin. The bouts were all made with callas and the corsages were made with callas and orchids and the flower girl carried a cute mini carnation pomander with a black satin handle.
For the ceremony, we did 2 large altarpieces that had a variety of flowers including hydrangea, larkspur, stock, orchids, and curly willow branches. The Unity Candle was awesome and totally unique. It was a cylinder vase with a submerged Vanda orchid inside, clear dish on the top for the pillar candle to sit on and then 2 glass candlesticks held 2 taper candles to the sides.
For the reception, we recycled the 2 altarpieces on the gift and cookie tables. The gift card holder was my signature rectangle card holder with monogram and ribbon. There were also 4 highboy tables that were decorated with a square vase with black stones and purple hydrangea inside. The head table was decorated with vases for the bouquets, a toss bouquet, and petals. The cake was decorated with 5 peonies randomly displayed on the tiers. It was one of my favorite cakes ever!
The guest tables got two centerpiece styles. 10 of the centerpieces were tall 20 inch cylinders filled with curly willow branches, hydrangea and dendrobium orchids with a submersible purple LED in the bottom. The other 10 centerpieces were a 5-vase combo of four small 3 inch vases filled with glass marbles and white mini cymbidium orchids and then on top a 6 inch vase sat on top of those filled with hydrangea.
One of the most fun wedding details at the wedding was the surprise cookie buffet Katie did for Eric. She bought 5 different flavors of cookies and rented 10 glass containers from me that I made cute signs and ribbons for. We filled the containers with cookies on site and actually managed not to eat any of them!
Katie and Eric were a total pleasure to work with. Katie and her mom were so creative and came up with so many great things for the wedding from the table numbers to the escort cards–and it was all beautiful! I love when everything from the paper products to flowers work perfectly together.
Congrats Mr. and Mrs. Kramer! Thank you for letting me be a part of your big day. It was a pleasure!
