Middleton Place Plantation

Middleton Place is just beautiful. I had already been there with Matt 2 years ago for our first anniversary and we loved it--so I told Amy we should check it out this time around since she had not been there yet. The grounds are stunning and there is a lot to see: a mill, a mound garden, English gardens, swamp garden, live animals, out buildings, ponds, a chapel/spring house, ruins of the original house, the newer house and even a restaurant. We did not do the house tour back then or this time around either because the house is newer and it cost more money to view (on top of the $$ ticket you pay just to get on the grounds!) So, I cannot review the house tour--but I can say this plantation is worth exploring for sure! I even saw 2 alligators while I was walking around!!!

Here are some photos from the Gardens:

Out Buildings:

House Ruins:

Main House now:

Animals that live there...

And the Alligators who moved in:

I do remember seeing way more peacocks last time we were there...wonder if the alligators got to them...

As you can see, there are a million reasons to check out Middleton Place Plantation!
