I still keep in touch with Mandy and was lucky enough to see her sing at (my bride/her friend) Heidi’s wedding this past May. I still vividly remember working with her and her mom to make her wedding totally unique and beautiful with Kelly green and touches of damask and Ireland all over the place. Her mom collected a ton of vintage and vintage-inspired lanterns for each guest table–every one was unique and accented with floral details by us. Mandy did a ton of DIY projects including the table numbers which featured their Irish theme and some screen printing action! One of the most unique things about their wedding was not the touch of Ireland throughout or the Irish Dancers who entertained guests at the reception–but the fact that Mandy wore an updated version of her mother’s wedding gown. They found a seamstress who revamped the gown to make it more Mandy’s style but still have that timeless, heirloom feel. She even blogged about the process. It was really fun to follow! The end result was perfection. And Mandy and Danny had an awesome wedding to kick off their awesome marriage!

How Long has it been since your wedding?
2 years today!
What is your best advice for brides-to-be?
Relax! and Smile. Also, if you are cutting corners, suggest not doing so on the photographer! You will regret it. We loved ours and are glad we cut corners elsewhere.
What is your best memory from your wedding?
It is difficult to pick just one. Aside from being legally and in God’s eyes married, close runners up would be seeing our entire families together happy and healthy. Our wedding truly would not have been the same without our ENTIRE families in attendance and there to celebrate with us…. the bagpiper who led us into our reception and the flowers were pretty amazing too
How IS married life? Any Advice for surviving the first year?
Any Advice for surviving the first year? When they say the first year is really a test, they aren’t kidding. Our first year was filled with unprecedented tribulations and family loss that made us truly realize our bond is much stronger than we thought it was. Couples who have it easy won’t ever know how superficial or deep their bond may be. We are lucky, lucky, lucky to have each other!
