Becca and Joe were married at Trinity Lutheran Church in Roselle and had their reception at European Crystal Banquets in Arlington Heights, Illinois. Their colors were pink, white and silver and flowers included peonies, hydrangea, Stephanotis, roses, sweetheart roses and lisianthus.
For the Personal Flowers, Becca loves peonies, and wanted to carry a bouquet of mostly white peonies with some pink ones in the mix, accented with white lisianthus and Stephanotis with crystals inside. She also loves the look of a floppy bow, so we included one on her handle. The nine bridesmaids all carried fluffy all-pink peony bouquets and the adorable little red-headed flower girl carried a floral want made of pink sweetheart roses. Joe and the fathers and grandfather wore white rose bouts and all of the other men wore pink roses. The moms and grandmother wore pink and white wrist corsages on pearl bracelets.
For the ceremony, we did 3 parent offerings and 2 fabulous, fluffy altarpieces. The altarpieces were large urn-shaped glass vases filled with white hydrangea, white roses, pink peonies and silver curly willow branches. They also had floppy bows per Becca’s request. They were later moved to the guest book/seating chart table at the reception. After the ceremony was over, the bridal party took photos at a local park and used my THANK YOU umbrella in some of them! I am excited to see the photos!
For the reception, I designed a large seating chart for Becca and Joseph that was placed on a table in the foyer. It was flanked by the altarpieces and a photo of the couple and the guest book sat in front of it. Inside the reception room, we did simple cylinder vases with pink organza rim at the top and submerged hydrangea in white or pink inside with a floating candle at the top. We hated the mismatched table numbers on 2 ft tall stands that the venue provided, so we ran out to Michael’s to get supplies to replace them with smaller, self-standing ones. We added pink ribbon and a silver bling embellishment to them and they looked infinitely better next to the centerpieces. The ones the venue had really just took away from our centerpieces and they did not match anything either. Everything else looked great, including the cake which was iced beautifully so we only added a monogram topper to the top and 3 peonies to the middle tier. The head table got petals, bling, votives and vases for the bouquets to complete the overall ambiance.
It really was another pretty in pink wedding with lush fluffy textures and I loved working with Becca to make it everything she’s always wanted!
Congrats to Mr. and Mrs. Maragliotti!
