Birds of a Feather…Love Forever
I just made a stunning bouquet for Rhonda who married Joel at Hotel Allegro this past weekend. I also made 5 corsages for the mothers and grandmothers. All of the flowers also incorporated feathers! I LOVED them. Rhonda & friends are DIY Goddesses. Rhonda does graphic design and therefore has a crafty side that allowed her to create a lot of the decor for her Hotel Allegro wedding. The bridesmaids carried feather boas instead of bouquets. The bouts were also made of feathers and looked really cool. A friend DIY-ed the centerpieces which included dendrobium orchids similar to those I used in Rhonda's bouquet. Everything coordinated through the color palette of "Cream, Chocolate, Merlot & Eggplant" and the feather details could be seen throughout. Rhonda and the bridesmaids even wore fascinators with feather and bling accents in their hair. It was awesomely vintage and very befitting the look and feel Rhonda and Joel were going for. Rhonda's bouquet was just stunning (and HUGE). It had hydrangea, monkeytail, burgundy mini callas, 2 plum/purple shades of tulips, dark purple stock, dendrobium orchids and ivory feathers. The handle was wrapped in ivory with a white organza overlay and pearl details with a bling buckle. The texture was amazing. It is one of my favorite bouquets to date. The corsages were also among my favorites that I've made. They had variegated pittosporum, variegated lily grass, dendrobium orchids and feathers with ivory bows and stems wrapped in purple. I loved working with Rhonda planning her wedding flowers and hope she and Joel had a magnificent wedding! I cannot wait to see more photos from the event! Congrats Rhonda & Joel!
