Beautiful Flowers in Soft Pink, Light Yellow and Navy
Jennifer and Paul were married at St. Ita Catholic Church Chicago and had their reception at Embassy Suites in O'hare/Rosemont. Their colors were soft pink, light yellow and navy to compliment Paul's military uniform. Flowers included hydrangea, roses, orchids, stock, callas and thistle. For the personal flowers, I designed a stunning, slightly cascading bouquet for Jennifer that had Phaleanopsis orchids, mini cymbidium orchids, callas, roses and lisianthus. The handle was wrapped in white with an ivory piece of ribbon from her mother's dress. It was so amazing! One of my favorite bouquets of the year! The bridesmaids carried bouquets of mostly pink with some yellow touches and handles wrapped in navy. There were no bouts for the men, but the moms, godmothers and grandmothers got wrist corsages made with spray roses and orchids. I also made an adorable flower girl wand that was a huge hit! For the ceremony, we provided white callas for the Blessed Virgin Mary Offering and single yellow callas for the Parent/Sign of Peace Offerings. For the reception, we did three different centerpiece styles including a taller trio of submerged flowers and floating candles, a trio of short cylinders surrounded by a fluffy floral rim, and a fluffy mixed arrangement surrounded by pedestal candlesticks with floating candles in them. We also designed Chicago-themed table numbers and Escort Cards for the wedding and decorated the escort, cake and head tables with lots of rose petals. I really loved working with Jennifer and her mom Cheryl! I wish Mr. and Mrs. Hanson a liftetime of happiness together!
