Balboa Park Point of Interest: Japanese Friendship Garden

The Japanese Friendship Garden is another fun thing to see & do in Balboa Park–and you know how much I love gardens and architecture! This Japanese-style garden is a tiny little gem in the middle of the park that is a perfect spot to just chill. Unless you are scared of lizards, since I saw this lizard there. I thought he was cool. I was able to calmly chill for a while on some benches in the back of the garden. They also have a bunch of tiny bonsai trees and a koi pond, which I was a huge fan of. I also love that Koi is so similar to Kio–there is even a site called “Koi Kreations“!!! How fun is that?!
