Amazing Ambiance & Flowers at Arrowhead

Kristina and Scott were married at St. Michael’s Church in Wheaton, and had their reception at Arrowhead Golf Club after. Their colors were purple, lime green and white and flowers including 4 varieties of orchids, Bells of Ireland, Roses, sweet pea, peonies, spray roses, lisianthus, hydrangea, and tulips with curly willow branches, galax leaves, bear grass, and kiwi branch accents.

Personal flowers for their wedding included a stunning cascading bouquet of phalaenopsis orchid sprays and peonies. It was AMAZING. I also LOVED the bridesmaids bouquets–which had roses, lisianthus, sweet pea, and orchids and a handle wrapped in lime green ribbon with ribbon loopies forming a collar. So chic! The flower girl carried a little bouquet and the moms and grandmothers wore wrist corsages on pearl bracelets. Scott wore a phaleanopsis orchid bout and the rest of the guys wore orchids.

For the Ceremony, I designed 2 altarpieces in pilsner vases that had hydrangea, curly willow branches, tulips, bells of Ireland, Larkspur and orchids. We later reused them on the escort card and gift tables at the wedding. We also did aisle decor which was a stem of white hydrangea hung from every third pew down the aisle. Those were also reused around the photo display and on the escort card table at the wedding. We also laid down an aisle runner for the ceremony and provided a Blessed Virgin Mary Offering and Parent flowers.

For the Reception, I made a lot of paper items including the escort cards, table numbers and menus. We also made some amazing reception flowers including tall centerpieces made of curly willow and dendrobium orchid sprays with purple LED lights in the bottom as well as one of my favorite styles we’ve made–terrarium-style bubble bowls with orchids, galax leaves, bear grass, kiwi branches, orchids and sculptural tulips. They were so unique! I love making new things for weddings that no one has seen at an event before! All of the centerpieces were accented with our silver mercury glass votives and some clear votives provided by the venue. We also did 4 small bubble bowls with bear grass, submerged cymbidium orchids and floating candles.

It was such a beautiful event…one of my favorite Arrowhead events to date!

It was a total joy working with Kristina to plan her and Scott’s wedding. It turned out FABULOUS!

Congrats to Mr. & Mrs. Weller! All the best to the both of you!
