A Wyndham Wedding in Black, Ivory & Sage
Meggan and Andrew had a large wedding at Our Mother of Good Counsel in Homer Glen with a lively reception at Wyndham in Lisle, Illinois. Their colors were black, ivory and sage green. Flowers included orchids, hypericum berries, hydrangea and roses. For the Personal Flowers, Meggan carried a mostly white and ivory bouquet with some green and eggplant accents. Her blooms included hydrangea, roses, callas, and orchids. Her handle was wrapped in ivory satin with a green organza overlay and pearl and bling buckle detail. The 10 bridesmaids carried bouquets of green hydrangea, white dendrobium orchids, mini green cymbidium orchids, green and ivory roses and hypericum berries. The bouts and corsages were all made of orchids, berries and spray roses to compliment the bouquets. For the Ceremony, we did a monogrammed aisle runner, hydrangea hung from sage ribbon on the pews and 2 altarpieces behind the altar on pillars. We also did the ceremony programs to match the runner and other paper products. For the reception, we did all of the escort cards, table numbers, menus and donation cards and moved the aisle runner monogram to the DJ table. We also provided a birdcage with floral accent for the cards and moved both altarpieces from the ceremony to the gift and escort card tables at the reception. We but little square vases with orchids in them on the highboys for the cocktail area along with the ceremony pew hydrangea which went on the bars in cylinder vases. For the guest tables, we put square vases with ti leaf wraps inside and black satin outside filled with fluffy sage hydrangea on half of the tables and submerged orchid heads in cylinders with floating candles on the other half. There were 3 head tables plus a sweetheart table which all got vases for the bouquets, petals and votives as their decor. I loved working with Meggan to plan her wedding and she hired some of my favorite vendors to help out as well! Including Big Don at XL-Entertainment for their DJ needs and Nikolas Scott as their cocktail hour musician. I wish Mr. and Mrs. Mikal an awesome life together! Congrats you two!
