Brittany and William had their wedding ceremony and reception at Oak Brook Bath and Tennis Club in lovely Oak Brook, Illinois. Their colors were purple with green and accents of ivory and silver. Flowers included lisianthus, mini callas, hydrangea, roses and an assortment of beautiful foliage including dusty miller, seeded eucalyptus, sage, lily grass and pittosporum.
Let me start by saying–this turned out to be one of my favorite weddings of all time! Everything was unique and textural and just perfect for this wonderful couple.
For starters, Brittany ordered a bunch of paper items from me including her escort cards, table numbers, and signs. The table numbers mimicked a pattern that was on her invitation and were all LOVE-themed. It was LOVE written in different languages and instead of signing a normal guest book, people signed a LOVE-themed coffee table book. She also used my new JUST MARRIED umbrella in some of her photos as well which were taken by one of my favorite photographers, Jeremy Lawson. I cannot wait to see the photos from this wedding!
For the Personal Flowers, Brittany wanted a hand-tied looking bouquet that was rimmed with a remnant from her netted veil. We also added feather touches and a satin-wrapped handle with organza and pearl details to the gorgeous bouquet mix of dusty miller, seeded euch, lisianthus in white and purple, callas in white and eggplant, and hydrangea in green and purple. She only had a Maid of Honor, so her bouquet was similar to Brittany’s but with a celadon-wrapped handle and no green hydrangea. Her mother carried a Tussy Mussy made of the same bouquet flowers as the bride and MOH, and the other woman got wrist or magnet-on corsages that were just beautiful. William and the rest of the main guys got bouts made with foliage and lisianthus with stems exposed at the bottom. The Officiant, musician and other men not standing up in the wedding got all foliage bouts with stems exposed which were really awesome too. It really was a perfect combination all around!
For the Ceremony, we decorated the arbor/trellis with sheer white linens and 3 floral pieces which included hydrangea, lisianthus, roses and foliage. We also added RESERVED signs to the front row for family and spiraled petals down the aisle in a beautiful pattern which included a monogram S under the trellis. It was picture-perfect and luckily it was not windy at all that day!
For the Reception, 6 squares with hydrangea marked the cocktail tables in the sun room. The escort cards sat on beds of flowers including carnations and hydrangea and the gift card holder was rimmed with fluffy hydrangea. The cake was decorated with purple hydrangea on the top and bottom tiers and surrounded by rose petals.
The centerpieces were among my favorite of all time. One was a mixed round vase arrangement over-flowing with flowers and surrounded by 3 pedestal candle holders. The other was a European-inspired large bubble bowl filled with grass, hydrangea, roses and lisianthus. They were sooo awesome!
I had so much fun working with Brittany and her mom Sandra planning both her wedding and her shower (which was held a couple months ago). Brittany had such great taste and everything came together perfectly at her awesome venue.
Congrats to Mr. and Mrs. Saveley!!!
