A Wedding in Yellow, White and Gray at Grand Piazza
Lisa and Casey had an amazing wedding at Holy Name Cathedral followed by a lovely reception at Grand Piazza in Chicago’s Little Italy neighborhood. Their colors were yellow, white and gray/silver and flowers included freesia, garden roses, spray roses, football mums, spider mums, protea, thistle, stock, hydrangea, lisianthus, dusty miller, silver sage, billy balls and succulents.
Lisa’s bouquet was easily one of my favorites of all time. I loved the grayish-green succulents that we got for this wedding and they made the bouquets AWESOME. The bouts and corsages all tied back to the bouquets so everything looked perfectly coordinated.
The reception space had 3 levels all of which got some lovely floral decor. Some proteas in squares were featured in the cocktail area, some submerged protea and thistle was featured in the foyer on the escort card table and a mix of submerged duos and mixed centerpieces decorated the reception level of the venue. The cake was probably my favorite part–it was beautifully decorated with icing and then topped with the perfect flowers! Everything was so beautiful and the bride and groom added a lot of their own DIY touches. It was a great wedding! Congrats Lisa and Casey!
