Darci and JR had a beautiful outdoor wedding ceremony at Arrowhead Golf Club in Wheaton, and their indoor reception followed. Their colors were ivory and cream with touches of green and metallic accents of silver and gold. Flowers included peonies, ranunculus, hydrangea, lisianthus, sweet pea, spray roses, viburnum, parrot tulips, roses, hanging amaranthus and foliage accents of dusty miller, silver sage, and seeded eucalyptus.
Personal Flowers included a stunning bouquet of ivory roses, peonies and lisianthus for Darci with a handle wrapped in ivory with lace overlay and a vintage family heirloom brooch accent. The sister of the bride/maid of honor, (who also helped plan the wedding) Dana, carried a bouquet of peonies and viburnum with an ivory handle and the mothers carried smaller white and green bouquets with ivory handles. The flower girls picked their flowers and one chose a floral wand and the other chose a mini bouquet. They both were so adorable! The grandmothers and other women got corsages and the guys all wore rose bouts with foliage accents.
For the Ceremony, we lined the aisle with petals and hung 10 floral clusters from bubble votives that hung from shepherd’s hooks. They looked amazing–the perfect example of the vintage glam look we were going for.
The Reception was filled with vintage glamor touches–and tons and tons of candles! All of the vases and candles were provided by Dana, the sister/MOH/wedding planner and we just put them all out and filled many of the with flowers.
The centerpieces were in clear pedestal vases and consisted of all mostly white flowers and green flower and foliage accents. They were full and textural and just amazing! We also added silver mercury glass votives around all of the centerpieces, and on all of the highboy tables, accent tables, sweetheart table, escort card table, and even in the bathroom!
An assortment of floral arrangements were also placed around the reception space in assorted vases Dana provided along with oodles of pillar candles. Strands of pearls and shimmering bling pieces were also added around all of the centerpieces and accents throughout the space.
The card holder was one of my favorite to date–and included our signature floral-rimmed style with an assortment of textural flowers, hanging bling, and lace details. It was stunning!
There was no shortage of details at this wedding, and I think its easier to just look at all of the beautiful photos of the decor, rather than try to explain it all! It was just too beautiful for words!
I enjoyed working with Dana and Darci to make Darci and JR’s wedding just perfect. I know everyone there (especially the bride) loved it all!!!
I wish the new Mr. and Mrs. Lockhart a lifetime of happiness!
