Some of my brides are so friendly and familiar that they start to feel like family. Claire is one of those brides. She’s been a client for a while, she’s kept up with the ongoings at Kio, she ordered flowers for her cousin’s bridal shower through us, attended the same cousin’s (Michelle’s) wedding that we did the flowers for, and then that cousin ordered flowers for Claire’s bridal shower–so basically they are a huge blessing to us! Claire’s also attending a few friends’ weddings who also had us do their flowers–so she knew we’d make her wedding flowers awesome!
Claire wanted a beautiful all-white bouquet and I just love how it turned out–the finishing touch was the french netting that I put around the collar of the bouquet. I love when brides give me goodies to incorporate into the bouquet or bouquet handles, and this was definitely a favorite item to add!
Another thing we LOVED about Claire’s wedding was the beautiful fall color palette of the rest of the blooms. We adore the “Free Spirit” roses that we chose together as it was an orange-sherbet color that worked perfectly with all of the red in the bridesmaids dresses and room. Those roses along with the chocolate ti leaf turned the feel into a more contemporary autumnal statement.
I also did something that I have NEVER done before for a couple–carved 2 monogram pumpkins for them! It was messy but fun and really makes me want to carve some pumpkins for my own front porch! I hope they were able to get these home to use as Halloween decorations!
