Heidi and Eric had a beautiful wedding at St. Mary of Vernon in Indian Creek followed by an awesome reception at Independence Grove in Libertyville. Their colors were peacock blue, magenta, green and white with touches of brown and flowers included stock, ranunculus, freesia, peonies, succulents, kale, viburnum, dahlias, hydrangea, rosemary and other foliage, spray roses, scabiosa pods, and dianthus.
The personal flowers included a beautiful bouquet of all magenta peonies for Heidi and her bridesmaids carried green and white bouquets made with ranunculus, peonies, dianthus, dahlias, scabiosa pods, and freesia. The bouts were made with ranunculus and herbs and the corsages were made with ranunculus and scabiosa pods.
The ceremony flowers included 2 stunning altarpieces and 10 mixed bundles in mason jars that hung from the pews down the aisle. All of these lovely items were reused at the reception. The altarpieces were moved to the escort card and gift tables and the pew decor was moved to the cocktail and head tables.
The reception also had beautiful mismatched centerpieces consisting of three pieces–a short ceramic vase with kale in it, a blue mason jar with hot pink ranunculus in it and a birch vase with white stock in it. This vased trio sat upon a fabric square sewn by Heidi’s mom that was decorated with vintage botanical print art that Heidi and I ironed onto them. The botanical art went with the awesome table numbers Heidi found and with the display of botanical illustrations that hung in the front hallway of the venue. Heidi also provided a vintage-feel bicycle that I filled with herbs that sat outside in the cocktail area. I also designed some cute placecards for the head table that had botanical prints on them. The remaining details were accents we added to the head table and wedding cake. Succulents, branches, and other little things that made them fit with the vintage rustic look we were going for.
Everything was amazing! I hope Heidi and Eric enjoy a lifetime of happiness together! Congrats!
