A Little R&R Bridal Shower at Arrowhead

Rich and Rita are getting married in 2 months but there are at least 2 wedding showers for them before the big day--and I am helping make both of them prettier with flowers and paper items!

The first shower just happened this past weekend at Arrowhead Golf Club in Wheaton and was hosted by the sister-of-the-groom, Kristina and mother-of-the-groom, Marie. The theme of the shower was a totally unique "R & R" theme--a play on rest and relaxation and their names, Rich and Rita...!

Kristina decided to have an Aromatherapy Station to make DIY neck-wraps that the guests could make, so we made lots of little signs and instructions sheets for everyone. Kristina made the seating chart, bags for the guests to take their gifts home in, the fabric wraps, the recipe books, the table numbers, the R and R's for the back of the chair, the R and R's for the doors and the paper flowers for hanging from the chandelier. She was a busy creative bee!!!

I made signs for the Aromatherapy Station and Beverage Station, the instruction sheets for using the neck-wraps at home, the instructions for making the wraps and the thank you sign explaining the recipe books. I also loved the idea of the beverage station--which had champagne, juices and fruit and such to make your own tasty drink.

I also made the beautiful flowers for the card holder, the monogram vase for the couple that was displayed on the seating chart table and the centerpieces for all of the guest tables, which we added table numbers to.

I totally love how everything turned out and Kristina and Marie and Kristina's Mother-in-law worked so hard to make things so perfect! I was so glad that I could help!

These lovely photos of the event were captured by Kio's own Tara Etrheim of Tara Etrheim Photography. She rocks, and we are so lucky to have her talents as part of our team!

I look forward to Rita's next shower and of course her and Rich's wedding in June! Its all going to be so beautiful--and its always fun to design lots of great things for such a great couple and their family and friends!
