A Lavender, Silver and White Modern/Vintage Wedding
Susana and Sean's was the second wedding we did the first weekend of June and it was at Concorde Banquets in Kildeer. It was actually quite similar to Karen and Victor's in some ways. Similar altarpieces, similar centerpieces and the overlap of the white and gray/silver in their color palettes---but Susana and Sean included lavender instead of pink and some more modern vases (cylinders) with floating petals and candles which definitely changed the vibe and added some height to the tables. Susana's bridal bouquet was made with mostly white peonies with white sweet pea and some touches of brunia, silver foliage and lavender Amnesia roses. The ladies carried bouquets that had Amnesia roses, dusty miller, cream hypericum berries and ivory spray roses. The bouts and corsages consisted of Amnesia roses, white ranunculus, hypericum berries, and spray roses. The ceremony decor was lovely, an aisle runner down the aisle, white hydrangeas hung from every third pew, petals scattered around the unity candle, flowers tied to the candelabra stands and two stunning altarpieces on pedestals as the focal point. The altarpieces were purples, whites, and silvers with curly willow branches, peonies, hydrangea, brunia, dusty miller, hypericum, roses, spray roses, etc. inside silver mercury glass vases. They were later moved to the escort card and gift tables at the reception. The reception decor was lovely. The head table had a mix of vases for the bouquets, mini arrangements, silver candlesticks with taper candles in them, petals and votives. The guest tables had one of two versions of a centerpiece--each of which had 6 total pieces. One style featured one silver mercury glass arrangement, one in a ceramic vase, a submerged petal cylinder and 3 silver votives and the other featured 2 submerged petal cylinders, two mercury glass vased arrangements, and 2 silver votives. Sometimes I am not sure how we keep track when we do these multi-element styles! Susana and Sean's wedding was stunning and we are so glad they loved it! Congrats to the happy couple and we wish them all the best in life and love!
