The personal flowers were awesome and coordinated perfectly with the dresses. For Cathy, we did a bouquet of Black Magic roses, burgundy and dark pink cymbidium and mini cymbidium orchids, fuchsia dendrobium orchids, burgundy callas and antique green/red hydrangea with a white satin wrapped handle with ivory organza overlay and bling buckle and pearl detail. The bridesmaids carried bouquets of roses, callas and orchids in a base of white hydrangea and their handles were wrapped in the dress fabric remnants. The bouts and corsages complimented the bouquets. We made 31 bouts and corsages since it was a Filipino-Chinese wedding that honored the Filipino sponsor tradition. We also made 2 floral wands for the flower girl and Jr. Bridesmaid.
For the ceremony, I made 3 altarpieces–two tall ones that mirrored each other that we later reused at the reception and one medium-height spray-shaped arrangement for the center of the altar that was donated to the church after the ceremony.
For the reception, I put petals and vases for the bouquets on the head tables and provided petals for all of the centerpieces which the bride had the venue assemble. One style was a short wide bowl with floating candles and petals and clear stones and a red pillar candle in the center. The other style was a duo or trio of cylinder vases with floating candles at top and some submerged petals inside.
I loved working with Cathy and Derrick to plan their wedding flowers! Everything turned out beautiful for their day!
Congrats to Mr. and Mrs. Tung!
