A Chic City Wedding at the Chicago Cultural Center

Kristi and David had their ceremony and reception at the Chicago Cultural Center and it was total perfection!

This was one of my favorite weddings ever! The venue was breath-taking, the staff there were so helpful and nice, the wedding coordinator is one of my favorites, the couple and all of their friends and family were awesome! It was a total joy to do this wedding!

For Kristi’s bouquet, I created a mix of ivory and white flowers which included hydrangea, ranunculus, dahlias, and fragrant garden roses. The handle was wrapped in ivory with pearl detailing and we added an angel charm to the top of it. The bridesmaids carried bouquets of green hydrangea, purple and white dahlias, green hypericum berries and eggplant callas. They looked lovely against their dark purple dresses. I also made 2 mini-bouquets for the flower girls that were too cute!

The ceremony was held on the 2nd floor of the Cultural Center along with the cocktail hour.

For the ceremony, we put two altarpieces up on columns at the head of the aisle. The aisle was lined with cylinder vases with submerged flowers and floating candles. I also put down a monogrammed aisle runner to complete the look.

For the cocktail hour, Kristi and David used my signature rectangle gift card holder to hold their cards. I put a chic cylinder vase arrangement with hydrangea, dahlias, stock and a manzanita branch with hanging votive candles on the escort card-guest book table. It is one of my favorite escort card table arrangements ever! We also put stemless wine glasses filled with orchids, lily grass, and a floating candles on the highboy tables to add to the ambiance.

For the reception, we did 2 styles of centerpieces. One was a trio of cylinder vases and the other was a short, full mixed arrangement. I also designed Chicago-themed table numbers mounted and purple and green card stock to match everything else. Of course, my centerpieces only added to the overwhelming beauty of the space. Did I mention they have a Tiffany glass dome in the room?! Talk about a show-stopper!

The last details I added were in the Garrett’s Popcorn buffet. I provided 8 glass containers with signs and ribbons for the display. It was great and must have been a huge hit as they were empty at the end of the night!

I cannot express how fabulous this wedding was! I am so glad I got to be a part of it!

I wish Kristi and David a lifetime of love and happiness! Congrats!
