Mantles at Cantigny–Decorated!

Mantles at Cantigny–Decorated!

November 28, 2011

I volunteer at the Robert R. McCormick Museum at Cantigny Park and was asked to decorated the mantles in my favorite room of the house, Freedom Hall. The large tree in the room was decorated by another florist in burgundy, gold and ivory tones so I wanted to pull from those colors for the mantle. I used burgundy, gold and peacock blue decorations on the mantles on both sides of the room, including classic glass ball ornaments, stars, peacock feathers, decorative ribbon, gold bead garland, silk poinsettias and gold glitter ting. It looks great! I encourage you to stop by the house and see the 7 charity trees throughout the house plus my decorated mantles and the huge tree in Freedom Hall. As I mentioned in a previous post, I helped Giving DuPage decorate their tree and it turned out great!
