Fall in Love with Fall Weddings

I just completed another stunning fall wedding this past weekend. Elizabeth and Bryan were married at St. Juliana Parish in Chicago and celebrated their reception at Marriott Chicago-O’Hare. Their colors were orange, green & brown and flowers included dahlias, hydrangea, orchids, berries, Bells of Ireland and callas.

Elizabeth’s bouquet was a beautiful and bold fall mix of textures that included brown and green hypericum berries, monkey tail, mango callas, Bells of Ireland, and green mini cymbidium orchids. The girls carried bouquets of all mango callas with brown satin-wrapped handles. All of the bouts were made with mango callas and the corsages were made with green orchids. Everything was very festive looking and rich in color and texture.

The centerpieces consisted of 2 types: one was a trio of rectangular/square vases with dahlias, hydrangea, and mokara orchids in them and the other was a tall pilsner filled with a mix of branches, hydrangea, Bells of Ireland, dahlias, orchids and monkey tail. They looked great with the brown and green linens provided by The Chair Couture. The room was very impressive.

The head table was decorated with vases for the bouquets, votives and some orchids scattered about. The cake was a stunning work of art as is, but I added some green hydrangea to it along with the porcelain bird topper provided by the couple. These extra touches made it one of my favorite cakes to date.

Perhaps my favorite floral arrangement of the day would be the manzanita tree that we used for the escort card table. It had hanging votives and orchids on the branches and hydrangea, dahlias, and orchids around the base. It was stunning! It definitely set the stage for the beauty that was to come inside the reception space.

I loved working with Liz planning her big day. She had great taste, an open mind and she really made the process a pleasure for me! She also hired a bunch of my favorite vendors for the day including The Chair Couture, Cynthia Sally for MU, and Don at XL-Entertainment for DJ services. Her photographer was also fun to work with! I love when its all nice people at a venue! Makes life easier for everyone! So special thanks for Liz and Bryan picking awesome vendors!
