2 Chances 2 Learn Floral Design!

2 Chances 2 Learn Floral Design!

October 8, 2009

I will be offering 2 floral design classes this winter at the Naperville Art League!

As some of you know, I love to teach! While in college I was an art teacher for a year; I’ve taught floral design as a volunteer at the Chicago Botanic Garden, paper making, cartooning, drawing and corsage making for the Kane County 4-H Program, puppet making at the Morton Arboretum, and I was even featured on HGTV’s “That’s Clever!” in March of 2009 demonstrating 2 crafts I made!

As I mentioned, I will be teaching two Monday night classes on Floral Design. These classes are open to anyone who is interested in learning floral design. The first of the two classes runs from January 11 – February 15 and focuses on DIY (do-it-yourself) wedding flowers and will include designing bouquets and creating an assortment of floral centerpieces. The other class covers floral design techniques for home decoration as well as events & parties. It is also held Monday nights and goes from February 22 – March 29. They are both 6 week courses with most supplies and flowers included.

If you ever wanted to learn a new skill that is fun and useful–these are the classes for you! Registration for the classes starts November 1st and class sizes are limited so sign up ASAP! Click the below links to see the class brochures.
