Go Bold: A Gerbera & Rose Wedding that POPS!

Jackie and Andrew were married at St. Thomas of Villanova in Palatine and then celebrated the night away at The Seville in Streamwood. Their colors were fuchsia and purple and flowers included gerberas, germinis, roses, lisianthus and dendrobium orchids. Everything just POPPED!

Personal Flowers:
Jackie’s bouquet was a mix of white Akito roses, white gerbera daisies, fuchsia germinis, and purple lisianthus with pearl accents and a handle wrapped in white satin with purple organza overlay and colored pearl clusters. The bridesmaids carried bouquets of purple lisianthus, magenta roses, fuchsia germinis, and white lisianthus. The bouts and corsages were made with germinis and roses as well. The adorable flower girl carried a pomander made of purple mini carnations with a white satin bow. It was precious!

Ceremony Decor:
For the ceremony, I created 2 altarpieces that combined white hydrangea, curly willow, bear grass, lily grass, purple larkspur, fuchsia stock, purple stock, roses and germinis into a showy mixed arrangement. They were later reused on the gift and escort card tables at the reception. I love recycling and reusing things elsewhere! I also designed a monogram and painted it on the aisle runner for the couple. It fit in perfectly with everything else!

Reception Ambiance:
At the reception space, we put petals and candles on the head table, cake table, and highboy cocktail tables to soften the look. Each centerpiece was a cylinder vase with a submerged stem of Bom dendrobium orchids surrounded by 3 votive candles. I finished everything off by decorating the cake with gerberas and germinis. Se magnifique!

I loved working with Jackie planning her wedding flowers and decor. She comes from a long line of friends that have used me as their florist! I love that! I wish Jackie and Andy a lifetime of happiness together!
